Urgent Care Campaign-Welcome to Sheffield Save Our NHS

Urgent Care Campaign

We opposed the Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group plan to close the Minor Injuries Unit at the Hallamshire Hospital and the Walk-In Centre in Rockingham Street/Broad Lane and we won, till 31 March 2021!
Thanks to all our supporters who helped to picket, collect signatures, question NHS managers and all of you who marched and demonstrated with us.  Well done us!
Details of Primary Care Commissioning Committee report here.  Press report here.
Details of our campaign below.
We handed in our petition with over 7000 signatures.

We were accompanied by over 40 supporters, carrying banners, placards and 2 more petitions, with nearly 10,000 names in total.  The 'consultation' ended on 31 January, with report on consultation due in March and decision in September 2018.
Read details of CCG Plans and our response.  Summary of our response is here.  We said:
" We find the CCG proposals unclear and unconvincing. They have little detail including
about money. Essentially they ask us to sign a blank cheque for the proposed closures.
Primary Care Commissioning Committee have responded now: make what you can of their answer to our questions here.
Sheffield Green Party also actively supported our campaign and their response is here.
